0 ohm resistor
Surface Mount Zero-Ohm Resistors are dummy components used to test for continuity. Zero-Ohm resistors are dead shorts and are also known as jumpers. When used as dummy components, these parts are attached to a PCB test board. The test board has a daisy-chain pattern connecting the resistors in series, with test points at the first resistor and the last resistor. When the Zero-Ohm parts are soldered to the board, a continuity test can be performed to verify that the solder joints have made connections with the pads. Zero-Ohm resistor chips come packaged on tape and reel with paper carrier pack.
