* If you are using an Anti-Static Wrist Strap now is the time to use it.

 * Unplug the power cord from the iMac.

1. Cover the screen with a soft cloth so as not to scratch it when working on it.

2. Turn over the iMac and put between your legs for stability.

3. Remove all 4 screws on the bottom of the iMac with a standard phillips screwdriver.

The screws will stay in the base so DO NOT try to pull them out once they are unscrewed.

4. Once all 4 screws are loose take off the bottom plate.

5. Proceed to the next step.
